This meeting focused on learning about COVID-19’s impact on student well-being in DC and strengths-based approaches to resilience. Josh Boots, Executive Director of EmpowerK12, presented findings from the Fall DC Student Well-Being Survey and discuss COVID-19’s impact on student well-being and resilience. DC CoP leaders shared evidence-based practices and other resources that can be applied by school teams to promote well-being and resilience.

The meeting objectives:
  1. Understand COVID-19’s impact onstudent well-being and resilience in DC.
  2. Share evidence-based practices and other resources that can be applied byschool teams to promote well-being and resilience.
  3. Practice an engagement strategy, Celebration Circle, that can be used to build resilience.
