Grief, Loss and Trauma - October 21, 2020

This meeting focused on a problem-solving strategy that you or your school team can use to work with students and families experiencing trauma. The meeting was co-led by the Trauma-Informed Practices in Schools Practice Group (PG) leaders.

The meeting objectives:
  1. Explore implementation challengesoftrauma-informed practices in schools.
  2. Share evidence-based practices and other resources that can be applied by school teams to address grief, loss, and trauma in schools.
  3. Practice an engagement strategy (Consultancy Protocol) that can be used to address the implementation challenges around trauma-informed practices in schools.
  4. Provide practical ideas to help clinicians and school staff understand and meet the needs of children and families who have stress and trauma in their daily lives.
