January DC CoP Meeting: Child Exploitation 101
Join the next DC School Behavioral Health Community of Practice meeting on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm to discuss the risk and warning signs of child sex exploitation and explore the role of schools in providing a safe and supportive environment to the victims of sexual exploitation.
The meeting objectives are:
- Learn about the common types of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC).
- Understand the risk and warning signs of child sex trafficking.
- Explore the role of schools in providing a safe and supportive environment to the victims of sexual exploitation (e.g., role of clinicians, school staff, and families).
- Identify available local and national resources.
